What is Tau and why?

It also handles messy, real-world data: missing labels, random effects, and selection bias.
On benchmarks, Tau beats both gradient boosting and tabular foundation models, and it does so at every scale, from 30-record datasets to millions of records, where other models make you trade one end for the other.
All of this comes from principled mathematics, not ad-hoc fixes. Tau keeps a model only as complex as the data warrants, so you never trade performance for simplicity or simplicity for performance.
